Stone extractor is intended for the removal of ureteral stones in the lower third of the ureter. They should always be used under visual and X-ray fluoroscopic control.
The range of Rusch-StoneX stone extractors are made of stainless steel, the basket having 4, 5 or 6 wires. The operating handles are made of polyamide. The outer sheath is attached to the operating handle using the blue screw cap. The outer sheaths are from fl ouropolymer/polyimide. The distal (renal) end of the stone extractor will have a cylindrical tip from stainless steel or a 3 cm long fi liform tip from polyurethane.
Sizes of Rusch-StoneX stone extractors range from 2.5, 3, 4 to 5 Ch. and are 65, 90 or 115 cm long.
